Learning objectives
The course aims at developing and strengthen the skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, in institutional settings, enabling students to cope with such disciplines both from an academic and a professional perspective. Special attention is given to the discourse of politics, the media and international institutions, considering the relevant textual and discursive practices as well. The analysis of authentic texts, representative of a variety of genres, will also offer an opportunity for a review of specialized vocabulary and grammatical structures. All lectures are held in English.
