Learning objectives
The benefits of a sound diet are most obvious in the area of training and competition performance, where nutrition strategies help atletes perform their best by reducing or delaying the onset of factors that would otherwise cause fatigue.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of course, the student will be able to:
Meet energy and fuel requirements needed to support training program
Enhance adaptation and recovery between training sessions by providing all the nutrients associated with these processes
Refuel and rehydrate well during each training session to perform optimally each session
