Learning objectives
The benefits of a sound diet are most obvious in the area of training and competition performance, where nutrition strategies help athletes to perform their best by reducing or delaying the onset of factors that would otherwise cause fatigue.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be familiar with: food features; distribution of nutrients in a normal diet; diet plans; the timing of nutrients before, during and after the training and the competition; sport supplements.
