STRATIGRAPHY AND PRACTICALS
Physical stratigraphy: events and their identification in the geological record. Sequence stratigraphy: concepts and applications in different settings and data sets (outcrop, seismic lines). Sequence stratigraphy and chronostratigraphy. Methods for the interpretation of seismic lines (theoretical and practical).
Paleomagnetism and magnetostratigraphy: physical principles and applications.
Cyclostratigraphy: analyses of cyclic signals and applications in stratigraphy. Chemostratigraphy: basic principles of Oxygen and Carbon stable isotopes and stratigraphic applications. Paleomagnetism and magnetostratigraphy: physical principles and applications. Chronostratigraphy. Geochronologic Timescale. Astrochronologiccal Timescale.
