Cartography and land use planning
Course syllabus
Cadastre. Aim. Land and building cadastre. Characteristics and phases of the Cadastre. The cadastral maps. Analysis of the digital information systems of the Cadastre regional level. Application examples on traditional and innovative media. The analysis of the territory through the cartographic tool. Elements of cartography: the reference geodetic systems; Cartographic projections; Topographic maps and thematic maps; The official Italian cartography; The IGMI cartography;Exercises Reading and use of cartography: Examination of IGMI cartography and regional cartography; The reading of the isoipse and the creation of an altimetric profile; Creation of a slope map.Features and potential of GIS software. The regional cartographic portals, analysis and elaboration of the cartography available: CTR, Ortofoto, DTM, Protected Areas, Hydrogeological Assignment Plan, DUSAF, Soil Capability. Application examples of some regions and normative references. Territorial analysis through direct investigation. The use of GPS in the territory survey and integration with GIS software. Territorial analysis through indirect investigation. Physical investigation: chorography, meteorology, climatology; The historical evolution of the territory; The analysis of the agricultural-forest system. Territorial planning tools at different scale of detail. Regional Territorial Plan, Provincial Coordination Territorial Plan, Territory Government Plan. Regional laws on territorial governance. Realization of an elaboration of territorial classification.
