Learning objectives
The Unit aims at offering basic and fundamental knowledge to understand the main family transformations that took place in the last decades in order to provide useful knowledge for interpreting and analysing social changes concerning household organization and family behaviour. Students critical reading of contemporary social issues is sustained through teaching approaches which favour learning and communication skills specific both to the discipline of sociology of family and to life course approach in the social-scientific disciplines in general.
