The course is designed to elucidate the fine details of animal biology, anatomy, physiology and metabolism, introduced with the previous course (MFA- Fundamentals), so to provide a solid and up-to-date knowledge both on animal functions and on histological structure and physiological and molecular characteristics of animals and of animal food. Objective of the course is therefore to contribute to equip students with the necessary competences so that he can manage traditional and innovative technologies in many fields, and to contribute to supply cultural basis scientifically correct, necessary in order to form personal opinions with regard to topics of strong impact, like the relationships amnong animal food, environment and human health
Expected learning outcomes
Deep and up-to-date knowledge both on animal functions and on histological structure and physiological and molecular characteristics of endocrine, nervous and immune systems. Cultural basis scientifically correct, necessary in order to form personal opinions with regard to topics of strong impact, like the relationships amnong animal food, environment and human health.
