Learning objectives
To perform an in-depth cellular and molecular analysis of the bases of disease. Selected topics (see below) will be the subject of study, and presentation of recent articles will follow a general introduction for each of them.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will know and understand the cell and molecular mechanisms underpinning the major pathological processes and will have the bases to autonomously develop research projects aimed at identifying novel pathogenetic mechanisms and developing new potential therapeutic strategies. The student will be also competent in reading and critically analyzing scientific articles in the field, as well as in communicating scientific data through slide-assisted oral presentations.
