Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge of the fundamental concepts of chemistry and biochemistry underlying the metabolism and functionality of the organism.
Expected learning outcomes
Students:
a) know the fundamental principles of molecular, cellular and biochemical mechanisms related to the body's patho-physiology;
b) understand the importance of applying the concepts of basic research to translational research;
c) they approach critically the international scientific literature to write short review on specific topics.
