Learning objectives
The course is part of the offer of the MA program in Public and Corporate Communication. The course aims to provide students with the theoretical and methodological tools regarding the languages of the different areas of the cultural and communication industries.
In particular, the course aims to explore the variety of methods and techniques of communication, through the analysis of the communication mechanisms of the different areas of cultural production.
At the end of the course students are expected to be able to identify the main languages of the different areas of the cultural and communication industry; and to develop critiquing and judging skills within these areas.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course of Communication Methods and Techniques the student should have developed knowledge and understanding of the communicative logic of the texts of cultural and communication industries; Applying knowledge and understanding, with an autonomous and critical evaluation of the characteristics of cultural and communication industries. Autonomy of judgement, and students' communicative capabilities will be developed through class discussions on topics presented by the professor. The final exam aims to verify the expected learning outcomes in respect to the students' capacity of understanding, applying knowledge, developing a critical analysis of the theoretical perspectives on the media and the texts of cultural industries as presented through the course.

Assessment methods and Criteria
At the end of the course of Communication Methods and Techniques the student should have developed knowledge and understanding of the communicative logic of the texts of cultural and communication industries; Applying knowledge and understanding, with an autonomous and critical evaluation of the characteristics of cultural and communication industries. The exam is written, and consists of 3 open questions. The questions aim to verify the basic knowledge of the main teoretical aspects of the subject and the critical ability in the use of this knowledge for practical purposes.
