Learning objectives
Il corso ha lo scopo di far conseguire agli studenti:
- la conoscenza approfondita degli argomenti oggetto del corso, sul presupposto dell'avvenuta acquisizione degli elementi basilari durante la precedente carriera universitaria;
- la capacità di affrontare criticamente i temi e risolvere le questioni giuridiche attraverso la rielaborazione delle nozioni apprese;
- il rafforzamento del linguaggio tecnico attinente alla materia;
- la capacità di collegare i diversi argomenti al fine di elaborare proposte utili alla soluzione di fattispecie concrete, anche attraverso lezioni di taglio casistico svolte con la partecipazione attiva degli studenti."

Expected learning outcomes
Al termine del corso lo studente che abbia proficuamente appreso la materia avrà una conoscenza approfondita degli argomenti del corso, con l'acquisizione di un metodo di ragionamento idoneo ad affrontare temi giuridici attinenti alla tutela del bene ambiente.

The Principles: Constitution and environment: notion and value of the environment; The environment and its borders: territorial governance, urban planning, landscape, nature protection, health protection, biotechnology; The sources of environmental law.
II The subjects: The international community; The European Community; State competences; The role of the regions; The role of local authorities.
III The subjects: Air pollution; Noise pollution; Electromagnetic pollution; The protection of waters; Water regime and soil protection (remediation of polluted sites and waste management); The regulation of industrial accident risks;
The energy sector; Nature protection: parks and nature reserves; Landscape assets; Environmental associations; Environmental information; Environmental impact assessment; Environmental damage; Waste.

Prerequisites for admission
As per the didactic regulations of the degree course, having passed the exams of private law institutions, constitutional law is a pre-condition to

Direct knowledge of the relevant regulatory sources is also required, and in particular of Legislative Decree no. 152.
Attending students can prepare for the exam on the lecture notes and on the jurisprudential and doctrinal materials distributed during the course and will be called upon to participate actively in the lessons, through the presentation of jurisprudential cases.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will consist solely of an oral test, in which, alongside the knowledge of the legal institutes, the ability to critically re-elaborate the environmental protection tools currently offered by the national system and their consistency with European obligations will be assessed; there are no written tests.
