Learning objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the Territorial Information Systems and their use in the field of Environmental Sciences.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student: i) will know the fields of application, the advantages and the potential of the SITs; ii) will know the potential of geo-environmental data modeling in the SIT environment; iii) will know how to set up and use data management, analysis and extraction (queries) functions in a SIT environment. The student will acquire skills: i) on the use of SITs to identify, explore, understand and solve problems concerning the territory; ii) on the design and development of a SIT project; iii) on the use of management functions, analysis and data extraction (queries) in a SIT environment.
