Il Corso si propone di raggiungere i seguenti obiettivi:
- trasmettere agli studenti una cultura sistemica relativa all'ambiente naturale e umano;
- formare laureati capaci di utilizzare le buone pratiche del metodo scientifico e dotati di conoscenze teoriche e abilità operative adeguate sia per analizzare, interpretare e spiegare fenomeni e processi riguardanti l'ambiente, sia per affrontare e risolvere problemi complessi che si pongono in questo ambito;
- preparare laureati che siano in grado di leggere a più livelli le problematiche ambientali, utilizzando un approccio non solo multidisciplinare, ma anche autenticamente interdisciplinare;
- formare laureati capaci di operare con autonomia, di lavorare in gruppo e di inserirsi prontamente negli ambienti di lavoro;
- preparare laureati che siano in grado di utilizzare almeno una lingua dell'Unione Europea oltre all'italiano, con particolare riguardo al contesto specifico di riferimento;
- fornire ai laureati strumenti conoscitivi che permettano loro di inserirsi immediatamente in contesti lavorativi e professionali, ovvero, se lo desiderano, di proseguire gli studi in programmi di master (di primo livello) o in corsi di laurea magistrale.
Sulla scorta delle conoscenze, delle competenze e delle abilità acquisite, i laureati del Corso di laurea in Scienze e politiche ambientali potranno con fiducia aspirare a impieghi qualificati in imprese e organizzazioni private, attive - tanto in ambito regionale, quanto in contesto nazionale o internazionale - in tutte le branche e in tutti i settori dell'industria e dei servizi per i quali il rapporto con le problematiche ambientali nelle loro molteplici declinazioni sia fondamentale (dall'industria energetica a quella agro-alimentare, dalla green economy alle società di servizi di consulenza alle imprese nella predisposizione di bilanci ambientali e sociali, dalle società che forniscono previsioni di impatto ambientale a quelle che forniscono servizi di pianificazione paesaggistica e territoriale). Essi potranno anche motivatamente aspirare a impieghi qualificati in strutture ed enti della pubblica amministrazione, il cui coinvolgimento nel controllo e nella gestione di problematiche ambientali e nell'attuazione di interventi e politiche di regolazione in questo ambito, di nuovo a tutti i livelli (locale, regionale, nazionale e sovranazionale), sta divenendo sempre più pressante e pervasivo e richiede in maniera sempre più evidente la presenza di figure di esperti che combinino solide conoscenze e competenze nell'ambito delle scienze naturali con robuste conoscenze e abilità operative in campo economico e giuridico.

Employment statistics (Almalaurea)
Possono essere ammessi al corso di laurea triennale in Scienze e Politiche Ambientali i candidati in possesso del diploma di scuola media superiore o di titolo estero equipollente ai sensi del D.M. 22 ottobre 2004 n.270.
Il corso di laurea in Scienze e Politiche Ambientali è a numero programmato al fine di garantire la qualità dell'offerta didattica in relazione alle risorse disponibili e prevede un TOLC (Test On Line CISIA) come prova per l'accesso. Per l'iscrizione al primo anno sono disponibili 100 posti.
Il TOLC può essere sostenuto presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano o una qualsiasi altra Università aderente al CISIA (Consorzio Interuniversitario Sistemi Integrati per l'Accesso). Le iscrizioni al TOLC vanno effettuate sul sito del CISIA (ww.cisiaonline.it).
Il TOLC valido per l'iscrizione al corso di laurea in Scienze e Politiche ambientali è il TOLC-S, composto dalle seguenti sezioni: Matematica di base (20 quesiti - 50 minuti), Ragionamento e problemi (10 quesiti - 20 minuti), Comprensione del testo (20 quesiti - 10 minuti), Scienze di base (10 quesiti - 20 minuti).
Ogni domanda presenta 5 possibili risposte, di cui una sola è corretta.
Determinazione del punteggio:
+1 per ogni risposta esatta, 0 per ogni risposta sbagliata o non data nella sezione di Inglese;
+1 per ogni risposta esatta, -0,25 per ogni risposta sbagliata, 0 per ogni risposta non data nelle altre sezioni.
Gli studenti che avendo sostenuto il TOLC-S si saranno iscritti alla selezione per l'ammissione al corso di laurea in Scienze e Politiche Ambientali, verranno inseriti nella graduatoria di merito, formulata sulla base del punteggio riportato nel test. I vincitori potranno immatricolarsi entro le scadenze indicate nel bando.
Alle matricole che nel modulo di Matematica non avranno raggiunto un punteggio maggiore o uguale a 10 saranno assegnati Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi (OFA).

Nel TOLC è presente una sezione aggiuntiva di Inglese, composta da 30 quesiti da svolgere in 15 minuti il cui esito non concorre al punteggio del test.

Attività di supporto e prove di recupero.
Per gli studenti con OFA verranno organizzate attività di supporto nel periodo ottobre-dicembre, seguite da una prova di recupero con la quale lo studente dovrà dimostrare di aver migliorato la propria preparazione. In assenza di questa evidenza lo studente non potrà sostenere alcun esame del secondo anno prima di aver superato l'esame di Matematica.

About ERASMUS + program, for students enrolled in the degree course in Environmental Sciences and Policies, agreements with international universities specializing in teaching and research on environmental issues have been signed The study period abroad can be used to take courses and take the related exams, as well as to carry out research activities for the thesis.

- The student will have to acquire 18 credits among all the offered training activities and all the courses activated by the University, after evaluation by the tutor. The courses not already chosen among the curricula can be selected.
- The student must acquire 9 credits through Laboratories and / or Internships and / or field activities during the second or preferably the third year of the course. The list of activated Laboratories and / or Traineeships will be published on the website.
- The student must choose one of the two curricula: Curriculum A - Environmental Management and Sustainability; or Curriculum B - Environmental Sciences and Technologies. Then the student will have to choose 3 courses among those provided for the chosen Curriculum.
In order to get their degree, students are required to certify their knowledge of the English language at the B1 level. This level can be certified in one of the following ways:
* by submitting their language certificate, taken no more than 3 years before its submittal and attesting a B1 o higher level (for the list of the language certificates which are accepted by the University of Milan, please refer to the website: http://www.unimi.it/studenti/100312.htm).
Students can submit their language certificate during the immatriculation procedure or send it to the Language Centre of the University of Milan (SLAM) via the Infostudente service.
* by sitting the placement test run by SLAM, during the first year exclusively, from September to December. Should they not pass the Placement Test, students will have to attend the English language course organized by SLAM. All students who do not have a valid language certificate must sit the Placement Test. Those students who do not sit the Placement test by December or do not pass the end of course test in one of the 6 attempts granted will have to get a language certificate outside the University of Milan within their degree.
