Basic facts and terms, Islamic classical theory, sunnism and shiism, Islamic revivalism, political Islam, relationship between political power and religious authority in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, the political thought of Mawdudi, Shariati, Khomeini and Qutb, the idea of the Islamic state, the political discourse of Al-Qaeda, ISIS and conservative islam
