Learning objectives
Aim of the implantology course is to teach indications and contraindications to dental implant treatment, as well as the surgical procedures to optimize the bony and soft tissue support to implants. The treatment plan will be explained by showing clinical cases and discussing the criteria to be taken into consideration when choosing between traditional and implant rehabilitation. the use of the most recent digital techniques will be highlighted as well as the management of the surgical and prosthetic complications.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is expected to be able to know the select criteria for an implant supported restoration and to choose the proper surgical and prosthetic procedures per each clinical situation.
