Learning objectives
The course is aimed at providing students with basic knowledge about:
- technological developments in motor rehabilitation;
- the operational tools for the management and organization of the rehabilitation staff activities and services in healthcare facilities;
- the concepts of rehabilitation, re-education and assistance in the context of therapeutic projects, in teamwork, and in the formulation of functional diagnoses and disability profiles within the specific area of pediatric interventions;
- the availability of a common language based on the ICF-CY model and principles in rehabilitation teams, allowing for the joint assessment of the domains of biophysiological functions, daily activities and participation;
- the influence of epidemiological data on decision-making in the organisation of services and in the provision of care, while taking ethical issues into account in health related decisions;
- the importance of involving families in the rehabilitation process based on the Family Centered Care model and the Measurement of the Cure Process, following the approach proposed by the Canadian "CanChild";
- the methodological procedure involved in the taking charge process within the Rehabilitation Services, including the steps of Welcome, Rehabilitation Process, Network Interventions, Communication, Information, Education and Research;
- the Italian DRG system and the financial provision for rehabilitation admissions in Lombardy, the meaning and aims of the SDO, the audit procedures on medical records performed by the ASL
- the major neurodegenerative diseases, in order to make patients and caregivers aware of their health conditions;
- the model of the Free Choice Pediatric Specialist, the importance of promoting breastfeeding and vaccination prevention strategies;
- organisational models in psychiatric care
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- know the basic technical, operational and management procedures to be used in the organization and management of health services provided by rehabilitation professionals

Assessment methods and Criteria
The assessment of learning outcomes consists of a written test, taking place during specific exam sessions, as per the Rules. The test includes multiple choice questions.
All the modules comprised in the teaching contribute equally to determining the final mark, expressed on a scale of 30.
No intermediate or early exam sessions are planned.
Teaching materials or notes are not allowed for consultation during testing.
The results are published on the ARIEL website of the course of study.
The Teacher in charge of the teaching provides the final verbalization according to the UNIMI model.
