Learning objectives
1. Knowledge and understanding. The Course aims to give the students a basic knowledge useful for legal experts. In particular, the Course will focus on the practical use of computer and web connection for professional job. 2. Applying knowledge and understanding. The Course aims to give the students useful technical skills to improve the relationship between users and technologies. 3. Making judgements. The Course will provide the ability to correctly choose technologies and to independently analyze the legal framework. 4. Communication skills. The Course aims to give the students the ability to present the knowledge gained with language properties and clarity. 5. Learning skills. The Course aims to give the students the ability to improve their practical skills dealing with innovation and ICT Law Issue. The new abilities can be used immediately in every situation. The Course has also the specific purpose of giving students: - a thorough knowledge of the topics covered by the course, both from a technical and a legal point of view; - the ability to critically address issues and resolve IT-legal issues through the revision of the concepts learned; - strengthening the technical and IT language relevant to the subject; - the ability to link the different topics in order to elaborate useful proposals for the solution of concrete cases, also through practical lessons carried out with the active participation of the students.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student who has successfully learned the subject will have an in-depth knowledge of the course topics, with the acquisition of a reasoning method suitable for dealing with more specific and complex IT-legal topics with respect to institutional notions

First lesson (3 hours): The jurist, the technological evolution and the legal tech (the current technological panorama, cloud and big data, the legal tech).
Second lesson (3 hours): "Writing of law": the word processing and the automated drafting of legal documents, interoperability and security in the processes of transmission of documents.
Third lesson (3 hours): Legal databases (birth and evolution, commercial databases and Internet search strategies).
Fourth lesson (3 hours): online jurist and deontology, ethics and computer science, netiquette, cybersecurity bases for the jurist.
Fifth lesson (3 hours): telematic trials: civil, criminal, administrative and tax
Sixth lesson (3 hours): computer security in professional study and data protection

Prerequisites for admission
Prerequisites According to didactic Regulation of the Course of Law: Private law, Constitutional law.
Teaching methods
The programme is divided into seven lessons; during the lessons the Professor will explain: i) the new relationship between the technological jurist and the legal tech world, ii) how to write juridic or scientific documents, iii) how to use a video-processing programme, iv) hot to use a juridic database, v) how to protect datas, vi) how the administration of justice has been automated, vii) how the legal professional must behave online considering his/her ethical duties.

Assessment methods and Criteria

Prerequisites for admission
There are no particular pre-requisites for adequately addressing the contents of the course. The first lessons are, in fact, dedicated to an introduction to the themes that can guarantee a basic preparation for the whole class.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam takes place orally in the exam session, with a question consisting of at least three questions on three different parts of the program. At the end of the course, it is possibile for the student who attended at least 75% of the lesson hours to have the exam in the form of an essay or a Multiple Choice test with 30 multiple choice questions, depending on the student's preferences
