Learning objectives
The course is aimed at providing students with knowledge about:
- the development and management of hospitals and their evolution over time as concerns health and safety needs, in the light of the national and regional legislation;
- theories and intervention models used by work and organizational psychology within the context of health an helping professions;
- positive psychology applied to work;
- the sociology of professions, elaborated by American and British sociology, critically adopted in continental Europe and Italy;
- the professionalization process of nurses and other health professions;
- the evolution of health professions in care, diagnostic and rehabilitation, including the institution of orders or professional colleges for healthcare professions different from medicine and nursing
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the teaching, the student must be able to:
- to know the laws relating to the prevention and protection of health and safety in the workplace and the economic and economic-business constraints and to be able to develop interventions aimed at providing an effective contribution to the organization;
- to know the psychological aspects of both individual work behaviours and in the contexts of the group and organisation, with particular reference to the management of power and leadership;
- know how to manage and solve organizational problems.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The assessment of learning outcomes consists of a written test, taking place during specific exam sessions, as per the Rules. The test includes multiple choice questions.
All the modules comprised in the teaching contribute equally to determining the final mark, expressed on a scale of 30.
No intermediate or early exam sessions are planned.
Teaching materials or notes are not allowed for consultation during testing.
The results are published on the ARIEL website of the course of study.
The Teacher in charge of the teaching provides the final verbalization according to the UNIMI model.
