Learning objectives
This course is aimed at providing students with the necessary tools to deal with those situations in which elaborations of empirical data are required.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to manage bank data and find the best solutions for creating databases, he will be able to create graphs and tables and identify the best statistical tools to find. At the end of the course the student will have developed skills related to the main statistical softwares and to the ways of communicating the results obtained from the processing of empirical data.

Course syllabus
- Use of public and private databases for the analysis of environment and economy
- Basic principles of the use of the excel
- Short notices of most frequently used statistical methodologies (descriptive and inferential)
- Use of the "Data analysis" package of the Excel
- Creation of a personal project through the use of databases, excel and power points
Prerequisites for admission
Student should be familiar with the statistical language
Teaching methods
The course will take place completely in an IT laboratory
