Learning objectives
The aim of the Lab is to introduce students to the topics of civil and industrial wastewater treatment. The Laboratory aims to provide the basic knowledge and tools necessary for the correct management of wastewater in accordance with current regulations. The intention is to contribute to completing the chemical training in the environmental field and specific objective is to learn to characterize the wastewater in terms of organic and / or metallic substances present as pollutants. The seminar activities and practical experiences will provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills on the choice and use of the most suitable methods and techniques for the removal of specific pollutants.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the Lab the student will be able to deal with the technical issues associated with civil and industrial wastewater treatment processes, and to understand the importance of also addressing the regulatory and economic aspects essential to the correct management of a plant. The realization of laboratory and problem solving experiences will allow students to improve their skills in terms of critical thinking and judgment.
