Learning objectives
Learning the general principles governing civil proceedings in labour matters (special proceedings included) and social security matters.
Expected learning outcomes
The course is held, as mandatory and characterising course, during the third year of studies and it is one of the mandatory courses for the curriculum aimed at Human resources legal operator and labour consultant.
At the end of the course, the student that has learnt the matters at a sufficient level, should be able to examine, and deal with, the complex substantial issues related to civil proceedings in labour and social security matters, especially in light of the judicial instruments of protection offered by our legal system (paths, modalities, timing, costs).

The classes will be held through Microsoft Teams in synchronous mode, at the time the lecture itself is scheduled, and shall be registered and available on the same online platform.
The instructions for attending the classes on Microsoft Teams as well as, possibly, case law and/or doctrine materials will be uploaded on the course's web page on ARIEL. A regular consultation of ARIEL is recommended, also for potential news .
Should it be possible to attend the lectures physically, pursuant to the provisions in force, said lectures may be held also physically (mixed mode); if so, the students will be promptly informed through ARIEL.
The programme of the course and the teaching materials remain unchanged.
The final exams and the evaluation criteria will stay unchanged.
The oral final exam will take place through Microsoft Teams.
In case the pandemic situation would allow it, the oral final exam shall take place physically, provided the compliance with the applicable security provisions and the availability of rooms at the University.
In any case, the final exam shall take place through Microsoft Teams for the students that shall not be able to leave their residence and/or domicile place.
More precise information and updates shall be available on the course's web page on ARIEL, that shall be consulted on a regular basis.

Course syllabus
The course is aimed at teaching the core elements of the civil proceedings for labour law matters (art. 409 et seqq. Italian Code of Civil Procedure) and social security law matters (art. 442 et seqq. Italian Code of Civil Procedure) in the framework of the general principles underlying the ordinary civil proceedings.
Prerequisites for admission
See faculty rules applicable to the specific bachelor degree. In any event, the following are prerequisites to this course: Private Law, Labour Law, Civil Procedural Law. Advanced Labour Law and the course "Atti giuridici e processo civile (lavoro)" are advisable.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam is an oral test and the mark will be up to 30/30 (cum laude, if eligible).
