Learning objectives
The course Organizzazione e Risorse Umane has the aim to develop the ability to understand the practical and theoretical logics of organization design. The course provides an overview of organizational design, adressing three central issues: (i) design of macro- and micro-organization; (ii) main theories on organizatonal design; (iii) challenges that today's organizations are facing, i.e. process management, project management, knowledge management, change management.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to (i) identify, on the basis of the strategy of the organization, the most consistent logics of micro and macro organization design; (ii) collect and analyze data relevant for the micro and macro organization analysis; (iii) interpret organization analysis for identifying consistencies and inconsistencies between the organization design and strategy of the organization.

Course syllabus
The course provides students with basic knowledge about the main elements of organizational design, such as: basic organization theories; strategy, organization, and effectiveness; fundamentals of organization structure; organization size, life-cycle, and decline.

Teaching methods
During the course students will work on several case studies and practical activities. Attendance is recommended.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Written exam based on 15 multiple choice questions and 15 open questions. If it will not be possible to organize the test in class, it will be managed using the systems that Unimi has adopted for the written exams.
