Learning objectives
Per quanto riguarda invece gli obiettivi disciplinari, gli studenti sapranno riconoscere le principali convenzioni testuali dei generi discorsivi della comunicazione giuridica spagnola e avranno gli strumenti metodologici per riutilizzarle a livello lessicale e terminologico, fraseologico, morfosintattico, semantico e pragmatico.
Expected learning outcomes
) Al termine del corso gli studenti avranno maturato una consapevolezza riguardo le proprie competenze nelle quattro abilità comunicative previste dal Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le lingue necessarie a garantire una comunicazione efficace in lingua spagnola nell'ambito settoriale oggetto del corso.
Per quanto concerne gli obiettivi trasversali del corso, gli studenti acquisiranno la metodologia di analisi necessaria per comprendere, analizzare e gestire alcune delle principali tipologie testuali giuridiche, attraverso l'esame delle strutture della lingua spagnola e la riflessione sull'organizzazione del testo; saranno così in grado di attivare strategie di analisi adeguate ai (con)testi fondamentali dell'ambito del diritto

Didactic methods
Lessons will be held on Microsoft Teams in real-time, at the established timetables, and will be recorded and available for consultation on the same platform and on the course's ARIEL site. Information on how to access the lessons on Microsoft Teams and other instructions on teaching will be uploaded on the ARIEL site of the course, which is recommended to consult regularly.
If the health situation allows it, in compliance with current regulations, lessons can also be held in the classroom (mixed mode); in this case, students will be promptly informed and notified through the course ARIEL website.
In any case, lessons will be recorded and made available to students for the duration of the semester.

The syllabus and reference material for the course are unchanged.

Modalities of verification of learning and evaluation criteria
The methods of verification of learning and the evaluation criteria will not change.
The exam will take place in oral form on the Microsoft Teams platform.
If the health situation allows it, consistent with the availability of classrooms and compliance with the necessary security conditions, the exam will be held in the classroom.
However, the possibility of conducting the exam remotely will be ensured for students who are in the condition of not being able to move from their place of residence and/or domicile.
More precise indications and updates will be available on the Ariel website of the course, which should be consulted regularly.
Course syllabus
The course offers an approach to the main institutions of the Spanish legal system, through the linguistic knowledge of legal Spanish.
Relating to content, the course aims to offer students an overview related to the following areas:
1.- the Spanish legal system
2.- the Legal Language
3.- the Legal Vocabulary
4.- The branches of law
Prerequisites for admission
Knowledge of the Spanish language at B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required.
Teaching methods
Students will develop different types of activities such as working from a practical case, writing documents and legal texts, making oral presentations.
The lessons will focus on the linguistic analysis of the main discursive types of legal communication in Spanish language, proposing a progressive approach to the analysis of the professional language and the contents of legal texts also making a comparative Spanish-Italian approach.

All the students (without difference between attending and not attending ones), are required to prepare the exam on the following texts:

- for practice, C. Carbó Marro, M.A. Mora Sánchez, De ley: manual de español jurídico. SGEL, Madrid, 2012.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will be held orally.
Students attending the exams will have access to intermediate tests according to the modalities that will be indicated in class and published on the course's ARIEL site.
