Learning objectives
The course provides knowledge of the basic elements for understanding the work contexts in which the dental hygienist will operate, both public and private, in relation to institutional and regulatory aspects. It provides the tools to communicate effectively. The course teaches the use of information technology to perform data collection and simple statistical analysis for health research.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course students have the knowledge to understand the health sector in which they work and will have adequate preparation in the tools of organization and management of their work.

Single session

TEACHING METHODS
The lessons will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform and can be followed both in synchrony on the basis of the established time, and asynchronously because they will be recorded and left available to students on the same platform. It will be possible to modify the activities planned online with the possible replacement of some lessons in presence if the regulations and provisions regarding the COVID emergency allow it. Relevant communication will be reported on the notice board of the Ariel teaching site. Students are therefore encouraged to check the Ariel website regularly.
PROGRAM AND REFERENCE MATERIAL
Globally, the program and the reference material will not change from last year. Only for the course of Public Law some modifications will be applied to the program.
LEARNING ASSESSMENT
The exam will be held orally using an IT (Microsoft Teams or other) platform or, in presence in oral and written form if the regulations and provisions regarding the COVID emergency allow it.
Prerequisites for admission
No prior knowledge is required
Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam will be performed as an oral assessment. To access the final exam, it is necessary to pass preliminary written tests in multiple choice or open questions test.
