Learning objectives
The purpose of teaching is to acquire the advanced ethical-deontological and regulatory skills of:
- analysis of knowledge and methods of traditional nursing deontology;
- identification and critical reading of new tensions in the relationship between nursing profession and society;
- application of knowledge on the contents and limits of the ethical commitments of nurses in the relationship with the person, with the aim of health and well-being pursuing, encouraging participation in care choices and contributing to equitable and shared allocation of resources;
- systematic analysis of detectable ethical problems in nursing practice to express and guide responsible professional behaviours;
- understanding of the significance of the historical evolution of the nursing care history regulation in contemporary times and identification of a prospect for the future development of the profession.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will analyze the ethical and deontological problems of nursing practice according to methods derived from ethical theories for identification of alternative solutions.
Will analyse the nurse's role in society and in social and health context with reference to the current regulation in order to identify prospects for change useful for pursuing the health of the population.

Teaching methods
The lessons will be held in-class.
The blended lesson will also be used, both in-presence and online, with Moodle open source platform for a blended teaching project.
Variations may occur in relation to the state of health emergency and in this case the lessons will be held remotely through the online platforms provided by the University. The distance lessons will be held in synchronous (through Microsoft Teams platform) and/or asynchronous mode (through Power point with audio, video recording lessons, audio recording lessons, other).

Assessment methods and criteria
The exams will be carried out in-class and/or remotely. Oral exams will be carried out remotely using the Microsoft Teams platform or other online platforms provided by the University. The distance written exams will be carried out using the Exam.net platform or other platforms provided by the University according to the modalities illustrated on the web site http://www. unimi.it

Definition and transmission of contents and of the "Patient Oriented" assistance path
Prerequisites for admission
There are no prerequisites except for the admission test.
