Teaching Workshop
A.Y. 2020/2021
Learning objectives
The workshop aims to provide the basic tools (methodological, bibliographic and archival) to conduct an historical research on the role of the Italian Parliament in the second half of XX century with emphasis on the development of social policies and the women action. A short written essay will be the final result of the research.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop students will have acquired the basic tools of historical research (in the field of the history of institutions), including knowledge of the main sources. They will be able to orient themselves better with the vast published and unpublished documents. Finally, they will be able to write about the results of the research, adopting appropriate language tools.
The teacher will guide the students with specific activities in the classroom, with practical exercises on research tools and moments of critical reflection such as reading and discussion about essays and published and unpublished sources. Individual work will also be of great importance with projects assigned by the teacher and then discussed in a group.
Online learning material will be made available for the students unable to attend classes. They could also discuss with the instructor additional readings and contact the teacher by email.
