Learning objectives
The workshop aims to provide students with a broad picture of intellectual property problems in the library sector, with the presentation of copyright legislation and the tools of its application in the publishing house.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the workshop on copyright, the student will have acquired useful knowledge to move within the context of the publication of books in print and digital formats, with regard to the legislation governing intellectual property and more specifically the copyright in relation to publishing.

Course syllabus and organization

Lesson period
Second semester
Lessons will be given on the platform Microsoft Teams. Students must follow them synchronously.
Course syllabus
Students will be presented to the origin and historical development of copyright, and to most recent questions regarding digital technologies and web world.
Prerequisites for admission
Students should be interested in problems of copyright for printed and digital books.
Teaching methods
The lessons have an introduction of teacher and slides with examples.
Teaching Resources
Different subjects will be principally presented by legal cases (f. e. of Manzoni, Verga, D'Annunzio, Susanna Tamaro, Phil Collins) and analyses of the social networks problems.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The final examination consists of interviews during the lessons. This being a workshop, grades are not to be assigned.
