Learning objectives
The course aims to provide general knowledge of the populations of pre-Roman Italy, with particular regard of some of them, which will be the subject of more detailed analysis.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding: the student must acquire knowledge of the main characteristics of the populations of pre-Roman Italy.
Applying knowledge and understanding: showing the ability to recognize the manifestations of material culture of the populations subject to in-depth analysis.

More specific informations on the delivery modes of training activities for academic year 2012-22 will be provided over the coming months, based on the evolution of the public health situation.
Course syllabus
Three Archaeologies compared: Sardegna, Campania, Apulia. The historical and cultural characteristics of each region, through a series of archaeological evidences into the fields of funerary and sacred archaeology, of artistics productions, in particular painting and sculpture, will be examined in order to highlight the developments over a few centuries. Autochtony and other influences will ben highlighted to better grasp the evolution in the context of ancient Italy.
Prerequisites for admission
Basic knowledge of Etruscology and Greek Archaeology is recommended.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Assessment of acquired skills through oral examination. The topics presented in class will be requested.
