This course aims to provide students with an overall understanding of different types of data, allowing to analyse several issues related to global politics and society. In particular, lessons deal with useful conceptual and analytical tools for assessing elaboration of "discourse" and its variations across space and time in a number of contentious fields of politics.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and interpret scientific contributions based on variety of data, considering both their potentials and limitations. Students will also be able to use main software packages for conducting essential comparative reasearch on "discourse", thereby supporting theory advancements and concrete instances of decision-making.
