Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with analysis and understanding of national health system, and its forms of regional organization, through the application of the main rules, constitutional and legislative sources. Among the main topics, are focused: the essential levels of assistance (LEA), the territorial health public agencies, the services offered by private structures, the controls, the pharmaceutical authorizations.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will know the Italian healthcare organization, both in public organization models, and in public-private partnership models. He/she will be able to deal with the many legal norms (state and regional regulation), also thanks to the analysis of practical cases.

At the end of the course, the student will cope with health legal sources (EU, national and regional), also through the analysis of the jurisprudence.
The student will also be able to understand some practical implications health protection has on the material activity of public administrations. Some examples, taken from the operational management of the Covid-19 pandemic, will highlight the cross-cutting of the right to health and the need to balance the public interest with other freedoms.
