Learning the medical-legal, legal and ethical-deontological groundworks to health care professions, so as to be able to practice safely.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge of the main legal / legal /deontological rules about health care professions and practical application of these principle in daily routine.

· bioethics, method and basic elements to face clinical problems;
· human embryonic stem cells and human embryos;
· clinical trials;
· scientific research and biobanks;
· genetic tests: privacy and right not to know;
· vaccination policies: between individual choice and public health;
· Italian law 219/2017;
· understand the issues of professional accountability and safety related to the profession;
· critically evaluate the possible conditions of healthcare activity in which it is necessary to examine the implications for professional accountability and patient safety;
· legislation on informed consent and advance treatment provisions;
· recognize, prevent and manage clinical risk;
· legislation on patient safety and professional accountability;
· integrate the knowledge acquired during the course of study in cognitive sciences with concrete implementations of patient safety.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Written exam includes multiple choice "closed" questions to achieve 30/30 score.
A brief open-ended question will allow those who have correctly answered all "closed" questions to receive cum laude.
