Course syllabus
Presentation of the course and educational aims. History of Phytoiatry. Plant disease management. Phytosanitary regulations. Regulations on the registration, labelling, commercialization and usage of plant protection products. Functional and chemical classification of agrochemicals, their formulation and mode of action. Translocation of agrochemicals in plant tissues and organs. Sustainable use of agrochemicals. Resistance to agrochemicals: genetic and biochemical bases, prevention. Agrochemical residues in food, superficial water and groundwater.
