Learning objectives
- to improve competences in social and istitutional communication through the main tools and methods
- to improve the knowledge of Third Sector, of its organizations and of methods for fundraising and volutary engagement
- to understand the role of stakeholders and to learn the strategies to engage them
- to learn the tools to plan a communication strategy for an ONG or a company or a public organization.

Overall, the aim is to make students interested to the world of work, to give them tools of analysis, to create moments of discussion about case histories and moments of networking with professionals and to create occasions to test the knowledge gained.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student will be confident with the system of communication, especially regarding the Third Sector and the organizations engaged in sustainability.
Moreover, he will have improved his ability to understand and analyse the dynamics of the sector, with a specific attention to the sustainable development.

Course syllabus and organization

Single session

Lesson period
First trimester
Lessons take place on the Microsoft Teams platform and can be attended simultaneously according to the schedule of the first quarter or they can be attended non-simultaneously since they are going to be recorded and available on the same platform.
Course syllabus
First module (lessons from 1 to 10): introduction to communication and analysis of the different tools; second module (from 11 to 20): focus on different areas (health communication, environmental communication, etc.); third module: practice exercise.
Prerequisites for admission
Basic knowledge of corporate communication: goals and tools.
Teaching methods
The first part of the class includes frontal lessons enriched by the participation of experts from different fields and with different skills. During the second part of the class students are going to do practical activities such as a communication plan for an association of the Third Sector.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam is written and there are 6 rounds with the same questions for attending and non-attending students.
