Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the issues related to the soil by inserting it in a more general context: the environment. The goal is to prepare the student to the knowledge of soil, not only as a substrate to ensure crop production but also, also as a complex system capable of actively interact with the environment. In particular the course will be divided in different package:
- Element speciation in soil.
- Organic matter turnover in soil and its role vs. climate change.
- Soil quality.
- Advance techniques in studying soil.
- The nutrient and nutrient recovery from biomasses.
- Soil pollutant and remediation techniques.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will acquire ability in considering soil in a wide context: anthropized environment.
