Learning objectives
The teaching workshop presents students with the variegated world of information: from printed newspapers, to websites to television programs, illustrating for each media the characteristics of both news gathering and editorial work. It also provides the main techniques for writing articles and the basics of communications sociology
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge of methods for collecting news, ability to focus on various journalistic specializations and in the use of media, writing skills and article setup.

Course syllabus
Journalism: rules and deontology; How to govern a newspaper, the story of the editor newspaper; how to gather news, the testimony of some famous chroniclers; the approach to information and respect for human dignity; television journalism explained by the general managers of large networks; investigative journalism and data journalism explained by famous TV and newspaper signatures.
Prerequisites for admission
No prerequisites for admission.
Teaching methods
Frontal teaching with the help of a web screen, permanent presence of guests, practical and individual writing exercises. At the end of the course each student is able to make an article and learn about the main rules of journalistic ethics.
Teaching Resources
Students are required to read at least one newspaper a day and take notes of each lesson, with devices of his choice, including a pen and notebook. They are also required to write an article of at least 30 lines after each lesson.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Students constant participation and the successful performance of the assigned activities are verified by checking and criticizing the written articles.
