Learning objectives
The course aims to provide a specific knowledge of Yoga practices:
- building a yoga "class": preparatory, ascending, central, descending phase
- asana: the choice of "poses" and "counter-poses", contraindications, variants and adaptations
- structures and forms of balance
- the prana and the pattern of the breaths of the breath
- mudra and bandha;
- strengthening the mind (relaxation, concentration, meditation)
- yoga and sport; sport and yoga;
- in-depth study of the elements of Indian culture and physiology, with particular reference to areas connected with yoga and its psychological resonances in physical practice

Expected learning outcomes
The student will acquire the technical knowledge of building a Yoga practice
(main positions, sequences of movements, breathing techniques, concentration and relaxation), understanding the benefits of its inclusion in the traditional physical and sports activities, for every target, including the less sporty and sedentary sections of the population
