Course syllabus
The reflection on practices consists above all of an analysis of the close intertwining between life and knowledge, between autobiography and genealogy. These themes are at the center of the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche, who has reflected on the notions of body, life and power throughout his philosophical activity.
The course syllabus addresses this topic and discusses - as regards the present edition - the close interweaving between Nietzsche's philosophy and the biological and evolutionary issues of his time will be investigated. It will be highlighted, on the one hand, to what extent the biological theories of that time influenced the genesis and development of Nietzschean thought and, on the other hand, how far the reflections of the German philosopher are still alive and fruitful to rethinking the issues currently at the center of the theoretical and scientific interpretation concerning living phenomena. The last teaching unit (Unità Didattica C) will be held by Prof. Fabbrichesi (both for the A-K course and L-Z course), and it will consists of 10 lessons, common to all the students attending the course of Philosophy of Practices, during which a series of in-depth studies and discussions will be carried out on different aspects addressed in the lessons on Nietzsche's thought.
