Learning objectives
- In-depth knowledge of the institutions examined in the course, ability to understand the principles of the system which these institutions are based on;

- capacity for critical analysis and re-elaboration of the acquired notions, as well as their application to concrete cases;

- ability to interpret the legal norms examined in the course, to identify their rationale and to take reasoned positions on the topics covered by the course;

- use of technically rigorous legal language;

- acquisition of a level of learning ability that allows to deal with a high degree of autonomy in the examination of essays intended not exclusively for students.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student who has adequately learned the subject, in addition to having acquired a thorough knowledge of the topics of the course, should be able to make a critical reading of texts intended not for students but for scholars and to develop, on the basis of this reading, autonomous arguments.

Prerequisites for admission
As per the teaching regulation of the degree course; in particular, Institutions of Private Law, Constitutional Law and Commercial Law are preparatory.
Teaching methods
The course is delivered through lectures, which are conducted using a seminar method to provoke the involvement and active participation of the students in solving practical cases and in the presentation of some of the essays that are part of the program.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The final test is an oral exam. The evaluation is expressed with a mark in thirtieth, with possible laude. Near the end of the course, a written test of profit is carried out (if the public health situation allows to carry out the written test in presence). It is related to topics dealt with in class and is structured into open questions on practical cases, with the aim of verifying the student's ability to develop articulated and in-depth legal arguments. The oral test is aimed at ascertaining, in addition to knowledge of the notions, the student's dialectical skills.
