Learning objectives
The course aims to enable students to:
- delve deeper into the functioning of some legal institutions and types of proceedings established by the Italian Code of Civil Procedure, also by examining the most recent and important decisions of the Court of Cassation (court of last resort in Italy);
- understand the connections between different legal institutions and types of proceedings (including ordinary civil proceedings as reformed in the latest years);
- understand the principles underlying civil procedure.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have acquired a good knowledge of the functioning of some legal institutions and types of proceedings governed by the Italian Code of Civil Procedure, and will be able to understand and analyse the relevant case law.

The course is aimed at an in-depth study, also through the examination of case law, of the main special proceedings provided for in Book IV of the Code of Civil Procedure, with particular reference to injunction proceedings, precautionary proceedings and class actions.

Consultation of a code of civil procedure updated to the reform is necessary in any case.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The awarding of credits is subordinated to the attendance of 70% of the lectures (i.e. 7 lectures out of 10) and the completion of a final multiple-choice test
