All topics covered during the three years of study.
Prerequisites for admission
The student must have all the professional knowledge acquired by all the exams foreseen in the study plan. The student is admitted to the final exam after having successfully passed the examinations of all the training and internship activities provided for in the study plan, for a total of 173 CFU.
Teaching methods
The practical test focuses on the analysis of a clinical case, extracted from a volunteer candidate, among all the cases prepared by the Examination Commission and related to all areas of competence of the Professional Educator: minor disabilities, disabilities adults, minors, addictions, psychiatry, child neuropsychiatry, elderly. They come for the analysis and resolution of each case some minimum criteria have been identified by the Examination Commission. The cases contain the essentials for them classification and to be able to answer the questions posed: 1. Strengths and problematic elements (maximum 3 points); 2. Aspects that require in-depth analysis and definition of how to find new elements (maximum 2 points); 3. Hypothesis of an educational intervention for global care (maximum 4 points); 4. Knowledge and theoretical models used for reading the case and for the hypothesis of intervention (maximum 1 point).
The practical test, which can obtain an evaluation of up to 10 points, takes place in one day, at the end of which they come communicated the evaluations, the obtaining of the qualification to practice the profession and the admission to the presentation and dissertation of the thesis.
The types of theses envisaged are:
a) compilation thesis, which provides that the topic is developed in an original way starting from knowledge documented through a bibliographic search at national and international level
b) research thesis, which can develop within the context of ongoing research in which the student can take part in stages to be agreed with the supervisor and the research team or by carrying out a research project prepared for the purposes of the thesis.
The dissertation includes the intervention of the thesis supervisor, who, together with the Commission, will present to the candidate one question for further information. The Examination Committee, also according to the Supervisor's proposal, will evaluate the paper and its presentation, awarding up to a maximum of 10 points.
At the end of the thesis session there is the communication of the final grade and the proclamation.
Teaching Resources
All the bibliographic material already indicated to the student during the three years of course.
The bibliography must contain recent contributions cited in the paper and be written in an orderly and complete manner.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam consists of:
a) a practical test during which the student must demonstrate that he has acquired the knowledge and skills
theoretical-practical and technical-operational specific to the specific professional profile;
b) the preparation of a thesis and its dissertation.
The final test has the value of State Exam enabling professional practice and takes place in two sessions, in the periods and in the methods prescribed pursuant to D.I. 19.2.2009
