Learning objectives
The course proposes to:
- Deepen the constitutive elements of the various techniques of functional investigation of the central and peripheral nervous system, in harmony with the experience of professionalizing training.
- Acquire a basic preparation that allows students to learn the characteristics and functioning of biomedical instruments and the bases for operating safely in the workplace.
- Provide students with the indispensable elements in the field of clinical neurophysiology, with specific reference to neurophysiological techniques to carry out and interpret the responses in the normal subject and in the course of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system and know the main clinical applications of neurophysiological examinations.
- Provide students with theoretical knowledge on the structure of sleep and its pathology, an essential prerequisite for the acquisition of polysomnographic recording techniques.
- Knowledge of the main monitoring techniques of the parameters for the evaluation of the Vegetative Nervous System.
- Application to the neurophysiological parameters of time and frequency analysis techniques through the use of specific programs.
