Learning objectives
To gain an in-depth understanding of the principles of operation and operational characteristics of machinery and equipment used in the zootechnical company.
To recognize and apply elements of operational analysis related to the described technologies in order to optimize technical choices based on specific breeding needs.
Expected learning outcomes
Ability to quantify operational parameters and manage the optimal functioning of livestock machines and plants barn systems used for the production and preparation of animal feed.
Capability to compare and select among different types of machinery and equipment based on the farm management, forage type, and type of animal feed produced on the farm.
Apply criteria and synthetic methods for sizing and designing livestock plants and equipment used in livestock processes.
Understand the principles of interconnection between machinery and systems with ICT technologies used in precision livestock farming.
