Learning objectives
The teaching workshop introduces students to theoretical and practical problems of the literary translation, and shows them Italian some examples from the modern canon translated by different authors, as well as in different editorial environments.
Expected learning outcomes
Understanding of linguistic, stylistic and editorial determinations of literary translation. Ability to create simple translations based on different stylistic and editorial parameters.

Prerequisites for admission
Good knowledge of the English language. A basic knowledge of French is preferable, but not compulsory.
Teaching methods
Lectures and individual and group practical exercises.
Teaching Resources
Teaching materials will be provided by the lecturer in digital format.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Consistent participation and successful completion of assigned tasks. The workshop final evaluation is "Approved" or "Not-approved".
