Teaching Workshop: Reading and Writing: the Poetry of the New Millennium
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
The teaching workshop aims to introduce the themes, forms, places and problems of Italian contemporary poetry, with particular attention to the works and authors who have emerged in the last twenty years. The lessons will alternate theoretical and practical moments: on the one hand, some elements of the poetic system and of the current critical debate will be presented and discussed, by reading and commenting on exemplary texts; on the other hand, students will be invited to present and share with their classmates and with the teacher their own poetic writings or texts that they consider significant for outlining the profile of today's poetic experience, so as to create a temporary community of interpreters who test the elements from time to time encountered along the way. Through exchange and dialogue, reading and common discussion, we will try to investigate the meaning of the poetic word in our time.
