Learning objectives
The course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of Enterprise Information Systems, including data and process architectures for management and governance, as well as emerging trends in digital transformation. It equips students with both technical and methodological skills necessary for the effective design of business intelligence systems. Key topics include the identification of information sources, data extraction and integration, and the design of data warehouses, data marts, and interactive dashboards. The course also explores modern approaches to data analysis, including the use of big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based technologies to support decision-making and business strategy development.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will acquire theoretical knowledge of information systems and technical skills to analyze and compare architectural solutions in the field of Business Intelligence. They will be able to apply the concepts and methods presented in the course to the design of data-driven decision support systems. In particular, the student will develop competencies in datamart design, in the analysis and integration of structured and unstructured data, and in addressing data governance challenges.
