This course aims at providing students with the skills to evaluate population health at local and global level. Students will learn about prevention strategies that impact on the organization of services and their assessment. Students will learn haw to use healthcare demand and supply tools with particular attention to health  inequalities. The course  investigates. The course explores in depth the role of information and information asymmetries in healthcare markets. It critically analyzes the models of organization and financing of public and private healthcare systems, with reference to national and international health policies

At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
-assess the data and indicators that reflect the health status of the population,
-evaluate health protection strategies,
-analyze the demand for and supply of healthcare services,
-critically assess health inequalities and interpret the role of information in healthcare systems,
compare healthcare models and policies at both national and international levels.
