Farm Processing and Marketing of Agri-Food Products

Learning objectives
Acquire the main elements for the design and functional, distributive and logistical verification of the premises of the buildings intended for processing with respect to the farm organization. Size the service systems in a technical-economic logic. Evaluate some design specificities of the realities of transformation and supply of agricultural products. Acquire specific marketing concepts for the valorization of processed agricultural products.
Expected learning outcomes
Know the technical principles for carrying out the processing and marketing activities of agri-food products. Know how to size the plants and read a layout of a system project. Define the main energy quantities. Acquire the ability to design the processing room and organize the distribution of spaces, and the flows of products and waste in the farm organization, also in relation to hygiene and environmental regulations. Know how to define a marketing plan by adopting appropriate strategies for understanding the market and promoting products.
