Learning objectives
Educational objective of this teaching is to develop skills about observation, self-observation and communication. More in detail, the purpose of the teaching is to allow students acquiring knowledge and understand how:
· to orient themselves in educational work complexity, given different kind of contexts and fields of intervention
· to verify their own relational ways towards users
· to recognize their own personal peculiarities in order to develop suitable listening and interaction abilities
· to use working practices in internship, about observation of single users, of user groups, of contexts
· to be able to respect the rules and working practices in the internship environment
· to study local contexts trying out survey tools
· to communicate and argue in a small group
· to describe and provide documentary evidence of the work done
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the teaching the student will have to be able to:
· orient themselves in educational work complexity, given different kind of contexts and fields of intervention

· study local contexts trying out survey tools

Prerequisites for admission
There are no prerequisites.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will be oral and the evaluation will be expressed in a grade out of thirtieths, taking into account the following elements: participation in classroom lessons, written evaluation by the internship assistant, written production (annual internship report) discussed during the exam.
Internship
Course syllabus
· Direct knowledge of structures and services: the first impact and the insertion in the internship contexts.
· Understanding the role of the intern.
· Knowledge of the functioning of the service.
· Observation of the educational intervention: direct work with the users and the indirect work of the professional educator.
· Use of the internship diary.
· Conclusion of the internship experience: evaluation and considerations.
· Writing the internship report.
Teaching methods
The professionalizing experience takes place entirely in the field and involves placement in an Internship location identified in agreement between the student and the Tutor. The performance of the activity is supervised by an Internship Assistant who promotes, monitors and evaluates, in the context of practice, learning from direct experience.

During the course, articles from industry magazines on the topics covered will be suggested. An extensive bibliography of narrative texts, including autobiographical ones, on disabilities, the elderly, and minors will be indicated, as a stimulus for a direct approach to the types of users

Guida al Tirocinio
· Analysis of the professional profile of the professional educator: skills, roles and tasks, areas of work.
· Direct and indirect knowledge of structures/services and the role of the professional educator in different professional contexts.
· Knowledge and expression of one's emotions: expectations, fears, motivations.
· The internship: definition, meanings, rules and procedures.
· Understanding of the roles involved in the internship: the triad student, tutor, assistant.
· Observation of the educational intervention: styles and methods.
· Writing the Internship Diary and the internship report: documenting the experience.

Laboratorio di Psicomotricità
· Consciousness and awareness of the body schema
· Empathy in non-verbal communication: listening to oneself and listening to others
· Sensory integration
· Muscle tone, breathing, conscious movement
· Creativity and body expression in small and large groups

Teaching methods
Guida al Tirocinio
The frontal lessons will be progressively integrated with group work, visits to local services and sharing of internship experiences. Illustrated books and extracts from the Internship Diaries will be used as stimuli for reflection and reworking of the internship experiences. At least two tutoring interviews are planned and established for each student, plus any others agreed directly with the teacher-tutor.

Laboratorio di Psicomotricità
Group work sessions are planned to be held in a suitably equipped gym with specific materials. Each meeting includes a brief theoretical introduction followed by practical experience with psychomotor value, with guided experimentation of psychomotor games and non-verbal communication, followed by verbalization and re-elaboration of the contents covered.
