Learning objectives
This laboratory aims to provide the student with the basic principles of the patient/caregiver-health professional relationship. It also intends to provide knowledge on facilitators and hindering factors of effective patient-health professional, caregiver-health professional relationship and relational and communication dynamics in the patient-caregiver-health professional triad.
Expected learning outcomes
This laboratory aims to promote in students the development of skills in the critical analysis of the patient-caregiver-health professional relationship. Students will also be able to identify facilitating and hindering factors in the relationship. They will be able to develop interventions for optimizing the relationship and training projects for health professionals to educate them in effective relationships.

Prerequisites for admission
No prior knowledge is required.
Teaching methods
Laboratory teaching involves both lectures and hands-on activities (discussions and simulations) of analyzing patient/caregiver-health care professional relationships.
Teaching Resources
The reference material for the course will be provided by the professor in the classroom during the first lesson.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The assessment (approved/not approved) will consist of a written assignment related to the analysis of a clinical case and a practical test.
