Learning objectives
Laboratory of risk assessment offers the possibility to the students to add their free credits to the scheduled credits for the preparation of their thesis.
Expected learning outcomes
The evaluation of the students is based on their performances during the experimental thesis period. Such evaluation will take into account their ability to get integrated in the working environment, to learn the methods required for the required project, to apply them and also to discuss the result of their work in a critical manner.

Course syllabus
A distinct project is developed for each student, tailored to their selected thesis topic and the specific institution or laboratory where the research is conducted. This personalized approach ensures alignment between the student's interests and the research environment, enhancing the educational value and relevance of the thesis work.
Prerequisites for admission
At least 50 credits acquired within the SAXBi courses
Teaching methods
This course is entirely experimental and involves an extended internship period.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Student evaluation is based on their performance during the experimental thesis period. The thesis supervisor is invited to assign a grade that reflects several key aspects: the student's ability to integrate into the work environment, their capacity to learn and apply the methodologies relevant to the project, and their competence in analyzing and critically discussing the results of their work. The overall assessment aims to capture both the technical and scientific maturity demonstrated throughout the thesis experience.
